Hawk Ridge is known for its spectacular raptor migration, but raptors are not the only birds to migrate along Lake Superior in the fall! Songbird migration is also very strong in the area and there is much more to Hawk Ridge than just the overlook! Join Hawk Ridge Naturalist Clinton Nienhaus on Wednesday and Saturday morning bird hikes! We will explore the Hawk Ridge Nature Preserve and look for the great many songbird migrants that are seen, and occasionally banded, up at Hawk Ridge. Hikes will begin at 8:00 am and last approximately one hour! All ages and experience levels are welcome to attend and we ask that you do bring binoculars along. The hikes will be weather permitting and will be on uneven terrain.
