The National Audubon Society has completed a continental analysis of how North America’s birds may respond to future climate change. Using extensive citizen science data and detailed climate layers, models were developed that characterize the relationship between the distribution of each species and climate. The models were then used to forecast species distributions to future time periods, based on climate estimates described by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Join Katie Burns from Audubon Minnesota for an exploration of what this analysis can tell us.
