Pick a Bird Brain – Neotropical Migrants – 4/20

April 20, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Last month we blasted off the spring migration discussion, while concentrating primarily on our raptor species. This month we continue to follow the spring migration and move on to a world of other birds, who are also making significant progress heading north to their traditional breeding places. The woods are getting nosier every day! We’ll find out who and what are our neotropical migrants, which birds win long distance prizes, and who are the shorter movers and shakers. Join Hawk Ridge Staff John Richardson and Margie Menzies on April 20, 2021 from 7- 8pm CDT for this Pick a Bird Brain Session: Neotropical Migrants (Spring has Sprung – Part 2)!

We’ll begin with a brief update on what’s currently being seen in the area and share some fun natural history. After that, we’ll answer questions from our participants that were sent in, in advance and if time remains, accept questions during the session. Please send advance questions to mmenzies@hawkridge.org. Be ready for a fun and enjoyable session talking about birds (feel free to dress in your comfy zoom clothes and relax with your favorite beverage!)
