Stacy (she/her), Naturalist

Stacy grew up in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, where she developed a lifelong appreciation of the outdoors. In 2024, she fell in love with Minnesota while taking a bird banding course at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. After moving to Duluth with her husband, Joe, in 2025, she became an active volunteer with bird banding programs at Hawk Ridge, Wolf Ridge, and Sugarloaf Cove. A former university professor, Stacy holds an MEd in Special Education and a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction from NC State University. She is excited to be part of the fall migration season and looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for birds with others.
