Jamie, Lead Visitor Services Specialist

Jamie is a recent graduate from Northern Michigan University, with a B.S. in Biology and concentration in ecology. This past summer she interned with the Maria Mitchell Association Natural Science Museum where she gained experience in educational outreach, animal husbandry and had the opportunity to do a Barn Owl Survey. She has also worked with the Wildlife Ecology Institute as a necropsy technician on a muskrat and mink population health project. She is excited to gain more experience with birds and learn more about hawk migration research. In the future she intends to do seasonal work in ecology before eventually continuing her education, hopefully in the bird world. In her free time she enjoys cross country skiing, trail running, and rowing. When she’s not outside she can usually be found cooking a good meal for her friends and loved ones.
